Failure as a Path to Innovation and Resilient Outcomes
DescriptionDo you cringe at the thought of failure? Does it make you feel uncomfortable? Is it something you avoid? This panel is about reframing the way we see failure and its necessity to growth and progression. Failure is a necessary part of the scientific process and something we expect to happen in the iterative process of user centered design (UCD). Yet, sometimes the fear of failing holds us back from experimenting and exploring the unknown. Companies should support and celebrate failure as a step in the path toward innovation. We will discuss our experiences with normalizing risks, accepting change and embracing failure as a part of the learning process along the way.
